LAKE TREATMENT IS HAPPENING
on or about SEPTEMBER 17th
Portions of Shellcamp Lake will be treated with the USEPA/State registered herbicide Procellacor EC, EPA Registration Number 67690-80. In accordance with Sepcial Permit SP-430 issued yt the NH Division of Pesticide Control.
The following temporary water use restrictions will be imposed on the day of treatment..

NO SWIMMING for 6 hours following treatment,

There are no drinking or domestic use restrictions.

Establoshed grass may be irrigated immediately after treatment.
DO NOT use this water for any residential or non-agricultural irrigation (such as shore line property use for irrigation of residential landscape plants and homeowners gardens) until further notce or maximum of 7 days. These restrictions apply to all intakes within 200 feet of the lakes edge.

The shoreline will be posted with signs warning of these temporary bans.
Shellcamp Lake Conservation Association (SLCA) members are dedicated to continuing the lake cleanup efforts in partnership with SOLitude Lake Management. The lake cleanup is set to resume at the end of August early September to treat the lake to elimiate the milfoil that has taken over Shellcamp Lake. The efforts of SLCA have worked in collaboration with the State of New Hampshire and the Town of Gilmanton to put this in motion.

Over the years Shellcamp Lake has been over taken by weeds, lily pads and other vegetation including invasive milfoil. To preserve our lake before it is completely taken over by the vegetation we have created an association to spearhead the lake clean up. Shellcamp Conservation Association is creating a non-profit organization to aid in the lake clean up which will be an on going effort for many year to come.
SOLitude Lake Management is the company who the association is working with for the lake clean-up.

Phase ONE
September 2026 Shellcamp Lake will be treated for Milfoil by SOLitude Lake Management. Two weeks after the treatment SOLitude will test the water for effectiveness of the treatment.
Phase TWO
The plan is to treat the nuisance plants with SOLitude Lake Management.
Ongoing Treatment
Shellcamp Lake Consertvation Association: will provide dedication and service to continue to manage the efforts of the lake clean up. We will need to continue our commitement of keeping the lake clean in the years to come, otherwise, the lake will become a meadow.
